The iPhone 15's all-new sensor will make you want to buy it

A new Sony sensor will be included in Apple's forthcoming flagship smartphone, reports MacRumors.

The source claims to have new information about the quality of the future iPhone 15-line cameras. The latest "modern" image sensors produced by Sony are discussed in the NikkeiAsia story. They will be installed, according to insiders, to replace the current ones that have been in iPhone cameras for years.

Sony's newest component "doubles the saturation signal in every pixel" in comparison to ordinary image sensors found in Apple devices. This increases the amount of light that is captured during photography and lowers the likelihood of shutter speed fluctuations. For instance, according to the source, a camera equipped with such a sensor may capture an amazing portrait of a person's face even under harsh illumination.

Photodiodes and transistors are placed in distinct layers on Sony's image sensors, which use a unique architecture. This enables the use of numerous additional photodiodes on a single sensor surface.

The versions that will have Sony's camera sensors are yet unknown. Apple has the option to include them in all iPhone 15 models or just the Pro version.
