Winning Photos from the "Shot on iPhone" Competition

 

From January 22 to February 7, there was a photo contest “Shot on iPhone,” in which anyone could take part. The main condition is to love taking pictures and doing it on the iPhone.

Today, the names of 10 finalists have become known. Photos of the lucky ones will be used in Apple's advertising materials around the world, and the photographers themselves will receive fame and recognition, but no money or medals.

An entire panel of eleven judges chose the winners from around the world. Among them was the primary photographer of the White House under President Obama by the name of Peter Souza, and from Apple’s, Phil Schiller was watching.

People from all countries attended the competition. It was necessary just to post a photo on Instagram or Twitter, indicating the hashtag #ShotOniPhone.

Among the winners are not only American citizens. The finals were works from Singapore, Belarus, and Israel. The themes of the photos of the finalists are very different - from colorful urban landscapes to a raccoon looking through a log.

The contest "Filmed on the iPhone" takes place every year. Apple does not encourage winners with cash prizes, but specifies the authorship of the picture, using it in their advertising campaigns.
